Attachment Parenting
Carrying your baby in a sling (babywearing) is a tool often used to promote mother-infant attachment. Parents who carry their babies often tend to follow a style of parenting known as attachment parenting. Attachment parenting is a way of caring for your child that focuses on being responsive and respectful, and meeting your child's needs for closeness and attention. It can sometimes, though not always, include babywearing, breastfeeding, and co-sleeping.
